OPEN architecture optimised this site by combining two detached plots and securing planning permission for this prestigious development of residential units in Oxted, Surrey.
The building consists of 12 one and two bed luxury apartments with off street parking and landscaped communal gardens to the rear.
The design of the building focused on traditional materials such as brick and tile cladding whilst allowing for more ‘modern’ features such as a lift, generous ceiling heights and recessed balconies to the penthouse apartments.
The altered rhythm on the façade adds variety and character to the streetscape whilst creating pockets of space within the units.
The layout of the apartments focused on open plan living alongside high quality materials with a keen eye on details. This project was seen through from concept to completion working alongside a variety of consultants, including a Chelsea Garden Show winning landscape designer, to bring the scheme to timely completion working on both the technical and interior design.
The development has proved to be a great success, popular with both neighbours and purchasers alike, and has made a significant and positive contribution to area.
