Redevelopment of existing tired building structure with façade treatment, internal re-planning to accommodate 95 luxury apartments and associated ancillary spaces

OPEN architecture worked closely with the client’s needs to develop this existing iconic site in Sevenoaks to give the tired structure a new contemporary identity and provide for a much needed luxury residential development to the area with close proximity to Sevenoaks Train links and the town centre. Bourchier Court is one of the tallest and most significant buildings in Sevenoaks Kent which comprised of the original 1960’s office buildings of two rather tired blocks in need of refurbishment.

The Studio has successfully produced both planning and detailed designs for the redevelopment of the building, including replacement of the facade with new contemporary cladding to revitalise and uplift this prominent gateway building. Clever internal refurbishment and re-planning has allowed Open to maximise accommodation by providing 95no.

Luxury one and two bedroom private apartments. The scheme also includes a contemporary hotel style Foyer with concierge offices, a private Business Suite and associated parking.
