The proposal was to design a side extension to create a new utility/ bootroom, a guest room as well as to create a new gym behind the existing garage. The approach takes advantage of the site levels and the existing building shape by creating an impressive oak framed glazed link between the main house and the existing garage allowing to bring in reams of extra light and transforming the property both inside and out. A glazed staircase wraps around a charming internal garden at ground floor level leading to the entrance of the new en-suite guest room at first floor level over the garage. The proposed extension will provide direct access to a new utility and to an impressive new gym overlooking the surrounding greenery and access to a new built-in spiral shaped wine cellar providing a professional wine storage solution within the home.
