Congratulations to Tanya, one of our architectural designers, who has successfully finished her MA degree in Interior Architecture at the University of Westminster! Her thesis explored how to create a better sense of place at Kings Cross Station. Through exploring the materiality of glass and its many properties she was able to fruitfully redesign the Kings Cross Station Pancras Road entrance to convey the London’s transport history through the story telling of moquettes.

Tanya joined OPEN after completing her BA and then spent time away studying for her MA but we are very glad to see her back in the office! We can’t wait to see how she takes her learning and apply it to some of our projects here at the practice.
