PLANNING PERMISSION FROM LONDON BOROUGH OF BROMLEY
We are pleased to have been granted planning approval for works to a property on Worlds End Lane, in Orpington. The purpose of this scheme was to demonstrate the potential of the property, whilst optimising both internal and external space. The form aimed respond to its surroundings and sit comfortably with the existing dwelling.
The Proposals show a single storey rear extension to the property with internal alterations to accommodate an open-plan Kitchen/ Living/ Dining space. Improved links to the garden will enhance the enjoyment and relationship between the spaces. Alterations to the patio will also soften the hard landscaping and improve both physical and visual links the the extensive garden. Improvements to the porch will aim to better the appearance of the entrance as well as creating a lighter environment through which to enter. New dormers and rooflights to the existing habitable space on the second floor will look to balance the Elevations, whilst still providing natural daylight to the spaces. A modest addition to the side of the garage at the front of the property will provide secure covered storage for a third vehicle as well as a small workshop above. The detailing to this will re-use materials where possible and match the existing house.
