The proposal seeks to transform the poorly functioning existing property with tasteful additions which would greatly improve the spaces within and make a valuable contribution to the street scene. The design gives a facelift to the dwelling with a carefully considered monochrome material palette throughout. This includes a combination of white render, dark grey horizontal timber cladding, anthracite grey zinc cladding and chalk white facing brickwork.
The new features include two storey glazing to the front, a new render canopy to the porch as well as the new cladding to the dormer and corner windows. The single storey garage has a grass roof which softens the appearance and contributes to the biodiversity of the site.
