OPEN ARCHITECTURE APPOINTS NEW DIRECTORS

OPEN architecture moved to Sevenoaks in 2012 and is located within the heart of the town centre. Since its inception, the business has covered a wide range of sectors including residential, commercial, and retail with a particular expertise in planning and site development. One of the most well-known projects in the area is the Prime Place development located near to Sevenoaks Station.

Commenting on his new role, Glyn said: ‘This is an exciting time for the practice and we can’t wait to bring our experience and expertise to the forefront of the business. We have both noticed a resurgence of work coming into the office since the New Year further strengthen since the withdrawal agreement from the EU. Now is certainly the time clients are exploring their options. ’

Since joining OPEN architecture in 2011, Glyn has gone from strength to strength helping to grow the retail sector of the practice. He has carved out his 20-year career working across the educational, commercial, residential and retail sectors, in both Kent and London based practices.

Stephanie joined OPEN architecture in 2017, after having worked at the global practice Foster + Partners, and has helped to develop the interior design side of the business whilst focusing on the private housing market. She has spent the last 13 years working in the residential sector with a focus on new builds, multi-unit schemes and residential conversions.

Between them, some of their most notable projects are the Southbank Place, the award winning Residence at Nine Elms, Kemnal Chapel and Cemetery as well as the McDonald’s national rollout.

The new Directors will look to strengthen the current team and enhance the already well-established business. With partner offices in London, OPEN architecture’s multi-disciplined team has an established reputation for a wide range of building design expertise and commercial vision.

Stephanie said, ‘Having the opportunity to lead the practice into the future is a huge milestone for the company and we can only hope that our design skills coupled with our passion for architecture and working with clients will continue to be successful.’

OPEN architecture focuses on the private housing, development, retail and interior design sectors and has access to a full design capacity in house.
