There are some houses which are built to be reinvented years down the line such as this chalet style bungalow in Otford, just outside of Sevenoaks. It is a detached property that sits on a large plot and has a framework which allows for change. This week we have received planning permission from Sevenoaks District Council to transform the property into a cottage style home. The approved plan includes a first floor extension to the front which will create two good sized ensuites as well as a central room/study. The new extension will feature a hipped gable and there will also be two dormers, both of which help to mimic a cottage style. Internally downstairs, the ground floor has been optimised to include a modest rear extension alongside internal alterations to create a more cohesive and well-designed home. We can’t wait for the transformation to begin!
