This week we have also received planning permission from Gravesend Borough Council to convert an agricultural barn into a new residential home with parking and a private garden. The barn which is located in a greenbelt area, will feature open plan living one end with a kitchen, dining room and living space. At the other end of the building there will be two ensuite bedrooms. The master bedroom will be located on the first floor, where the pitch of the roof is the highest and includes a dressing room as well as ensuite. Careful consideration has been given to the external design to ensure it resembles its former use and will be cladded using corrugated metal sheeting and have a brick plinth at the base to enhance the appearance of the building. Outside will be landscaped in such a way to enhance the biodiversity of the site and to help blend the barn into its surroundings.
