OPEN Architecture have been granted planning permission by Tunbridge Wells Borough Council for a scheme on Royal Chase, Tunbridge Wells, Kent. The purpose of this project is to demonstrate the potential of the site, whilst optimising both internal and external space. The form will respond to its surroundings and sit comfortably with the existing dwelling. The proposals showed a complete internal re-configuration to both the ground & first floors of the dwelling, together with a single storey rear extension to provide a larger kitchen/dining space to property. The scheme also proposed a two storey annexe on the south-east elevation to provide additional living space and bedrooms, along with a loft conversion into the main roof-space of the property to provide a generous master suite.
