PLANNING ARRPOVAL FROM TUNBRIDGE WELLS BOROUGH COUNCIL

This week we have received planning approval from Tunbridge Wells Borough Council to construct a two-storey front extension, loft conversion and a single storey rear extension for a detached property in the village of Bidborough.

The ground floor has been designed to create a lighter, brighter interior as well as improve the overall flow between spaces. The entrance has been located on the front of the facade which allows for ease of access into the property with the new extension and driveway design.

Upstairs the new two storey front extension has allowed for a larger bedroom with an ensuite and wardrobes. And the loft has been converted to allow for a master suite including a seating area with an ensuite, walk-in wardrobe and access to a plant space. Three new dormer windows have been added in order to introduce natural lighting and ventilation in this space.

The elevations have been designed to blend with the existing material palette so that it settles sensitively into the neighbourhood but yet still adding a modern touch to the overall flavour. Feature glazing on the front elevation provides a focal point to the entrance of the property and the extension to the rear will be zinc with a larger overhang to provide shade.
