The bell has rung again in the office today with planning approval from Sevenoaks District Council for a ground floor extension for a semi detached property located close to the town centre and next to a Conservation Area.

The new space will house an open plan kitchen/dining/seating area with access to a utility/boot room. The wrap around will be built in two parts: A flat roof to the rear and a pitched roof to the side which will maintain a traditional approach when viewed from the street with a touch of modernity to the rear. The flat roof will sit at a higher level to ‘lift’ the space internally and house two roof lights to maximise natural light to the middle of the home.

The extension to the side required thought due to the need for a side passage from the boundary. The result was proposing a stepped extension creating an effective side entrance for the client and their lovely dog!
