PLANNING FROM SEVENOAKS DISTRICT COUNCIL
Earlier this month we were pleased to receive planning approval from Sevenoaks District Council for a single storey rear extension to create a new build flat whilst optimising the existing 3 bed flat into two smaller units. The property is situated in the northwestern part of Sevenoaks, within a conservation area and nestled amongst residential and mixed use buildings.
Our scheme focuses on the first floor where the main building has been altered to create two self-contained one-bedroom flats with the new two-bedroom flat to the rear accessed via a garden passage. The additional flat will have vaulted ceilings with roof lights providing southerly light. Each flat has access to the raised garden at the rear and a new bridge will be added to the back of the building in a translucent material to provide natural light to the commercial terrace below.
