LEVELLING OUT A SLOPING DRIVE TO ALLOW FOR BETTER ACCESS
We've just had planning approval from Sevenoaks District Council for a single storey front extension including garage as well as various internal optimisations and landscape alterations.
The current property sits on a site which slopes heavily to a car parking area with several steps to the main house. The existing garage can't also be accessed from the drive. Our approved proposal looks at altering the site to reduce and extend the current sloped driveway. This allows for a flatter area to park and an easily accessible drive. A single car garage will be located to the front at the lowest level with direct access to a short run of external steps. This run is then split to access a side door into a boot room/utility space or to access the main front door.
Inside, the ground floor has been designed to maximise flow between the main family spaces as well as to encourage more of an indoor/outdoor lifestyle.
