We couldn’t hope to receive better news before we break for Christmas than a planning approval from Tunbridge Wells Borough Council for a single storey rear/side extension with internal alterations, garage conversion and a loft conversion for a detached property in Southborough!

The clients not only wanted us to create a home which would grow with their family but provide the opportunity to develop their passion for dance from their home. The rear extension will now include a seating/dining area which will be connected to the kitchen by a half height wall allowing for ease of communication when together or entertaining. It will also allow for a new dance studio which will have ceiling mirrors and built in storage. This space will have level access doors which will lead out onto a patio.

There will be little alteration to the first floor other than to allow access to the loft and more modern amenities. The new space on the second floor will house the master suite, with his and her’s walk in wardrobes, ensuite bathroom and a study area. There will be five dormers including a feature dormer over two storey’s to maximise light on both the first and second floors and provide a bit of ‘wow’ factor.
